we wanted our car to be very weightless so we wanted it to be an axle and 2 wheels so it would fly down the hallway. our team communicated ok one of our members didn't really do anything at all so that was kind of hard. that also made it hard for us to manage our time. anyway my partner is going to do the 3d modelling when he gets back.

We haven't posted in a while but our final product didn't work so we made an axle and 2 wheels that gets launched from the mouse trap and goes down the hall. unfortunately we didn't make it in time for our race because we made several other cars. 

reality check

we thought of using co2 canisters but the mousetrap wasn't powerful enough to break the cap so we decided to use elastics but they snapped or didn't work. so we finally decided to use just plain strings so when the mouse trap snaps it brings the string with it cause the front axle to move.

Our car is going to be 1 3/4 of an inch wide and 10 inches wide!!!!!

These are a few of the designs we sketched. We are hoping that one of these work!!!!!

We plan to make a 4 wheeled mousetrap car with an office chair round wheel for the front with 3 cd's for back wheels. We are going to line the cd's with double sided tape then put cross sections of balloons around them. We are going to then put the mousetrap on a ladder like frame then attach a strong elastic to the mouse trap and the back axle. We wrap the elastic around it then we set the trap off and it goes.

We now know that our kinetic car is going to be powered by a mouse trap. This is the design we are thinking of doing. Its pretty boss.
